Impotence is a condition that affects more men today than ever: the fast pace of modern life, the amount of unhealthy food that we consume and the stress that we are under every day, often lead to the inability to perform sexually. This inability in men manifest itself in decreased libido, soft erection or erection that does not last long enough; and ever since ancient times masculinity was directly linked to the ability to perform sexually, which is why men from different corners of the World have been looking for the best possible cure.
Unfortunately, even to date no cure for erectile dysfunction exists, but the condition can be managed and its symptoms suppressed. And without a doubt, the best treatments, at least at the time if this writing, are the synthetic anti-impotence drugs. Viagra was the first ever ED drug, approved by the American Food and Drug administration (FDA), and sold in the United States and virtually all over the World. And it was instant success – it was labeled the “miracle pill” since it worked really well for almost every man with erection problems, regardless what caused them. Once the great demand for such medication was spotted by other pharmaceutical companies, they started developing their own products and Levitra and Cialis were both approved in 2003 by the FDA as the second and the third ED drugs, sold in the States. Cialis, which is actually tadalafil 10mg, 20mg, or 5mg pills, was the latest to be released, but had numerous advantages over the other two pills – its effect lasts for up to 36 hours and the pill isn’t affected by food or alcohol consumption.
Tadalafil 10mg, 20mg, and 5mg can also be sold under different brand names rather than Cialis, and this group is known as generic Cialis; the only difference between the brand-name drug and its generic counterparts is in the name and the price tag. The generic pills are manufactured by companies, which didn’t have to endure all the initial production and marketing costs; they simply started producing pills, containing tadalafil, and these pills are as effective as the “original.” All three erectile dysfunction drugs, sold today in the United States, work in the same way – they react with certain times of enzymes in the man’s body, which enzymes are responsible for the decreased blood flow to the penis. And the decreased blood flow is what leads to the inability to achieve or maintain an erection long enough, in order to complete a sexual act.
It should be noted that since the erectile dysfunction pills might cause some side effects, which are usually rare or minor, but the drugs should be always taken responsibly and as prescribed. Getting diagnosed with erectile dysfunction does not mean that you will never have healthy sex life – the synthetic anti-impotence medications work really well for most men and help them regain their love-making skills and re-candle their relationships.
